In this community, you can submit ideas, vote on existing ideas, or add comments.

To submit an idea, please click the Submit New Idea button at the top of the navigation sidebar. You will then be asked to add a title and choose a campaign for the new idea. You will also have the option to add tags to the idea. To vote on an idea, simply click the up or down arrows to the right of the idea title/description. And to add a comment, click in the box below the idea.

If you would like to see all ideas created with a specific tag, you can click on the word or phrase via the tagcloud in the navigation sidebar area under "What we're discussing". You can also view ideas sorted by Campaigns from the right navigation area. To return to this page, click the All Ideas link.

People are going to want to host thier own osm layers using osm technology. they are going to want to have control over the license, the users the edits and the rendering of the data. they are going to want to import layers of data and maintain them separately. these layers will be shared under certain terms with other people, and edits to them can be suggested. Need a forum and wiki that encompasses all open map projects

There are many different open map projects (including different databases, database servers, renderers and editors). Currently the forums are fragmented between OSM talk and osm-fork google group. To foster better cooperation, it would be better to have a common forum to discuss general issues. Project specific issues should continue in existing channels. Local (fast access) Edit server

for remote places, with bad internet connections, we want to have the main server to be local to the users in the internet. Some users might find that the server in london is slow. they will want simple tools to setup and host a local cache and CPU pool that is used in the larger OSM scheme.
